Learn to expect imperfections

I think this is very true...read it in an unknown book there in a bookshop at a shopping mall while I was waiting for my mrs. My temper was going to let loose because she kept me waiting for more than half an hour.

This sentence cools me down dramatically :)

"Do not expect perfection from your spouse or expect your spouse to have similar habits as you."

Marriage is coming together of two imperfect beings. Don’t expect wife or husband to be like this or that, accept them as they are.

How true after I gave it a thought. All the way, deep inside, I've been saying to myself how come she cannot be like this, be like that, or behave in a way I wish. In the end, we often get into verbal skirmishes and we get unhappy.

Hi Suppiah

That was a nice quote...thanks for sharing. Marriage life is tough, though. 6 years of marriage make me crazy sometimes even if I don't have any children yet.

Hi Angela,

Glad that you like :)

Well, in my opinion, instead of thinking it as tough, why not think the opposite and find the positive aspects of your marriage, like the fun, cheers and bliss. Marie Callas has said what you think will manifest in real life. My marriage has ups and downs too, however, we always do our best to cherish the good times and of course, have to be respectful and tolerant of each other too.

Just some of my views :)
